I am skilled in Japanese style carpentry, woodworking, stone and ceramic sculpture, problem solving, building and landscape design.  If you need help with any of these, please contact me at

The following photos are of projects I’ve worked on, mostly under the direction of my friend and carpentry teacher, Paul Discoe.  Paul is a zen priest who was sent to Japan by his teacher, Sunryu Suzuki-roshi, to study carpentry.  When Paul returned to California, he taught others and founded Joinery Structures, a design and build company in Oakland.
